Description[]
Designed to imitate the gravity and configuration of a moon, the original research and development station was designed during the early years of the separatist movement to design droid fighters and craft for the Trade Federation. It has enough room to contain small fighter craft as well as full size labs that can be used to install and adjust complicated and delicate technology. The main purpose of it is to provide a secure location where scientists may focus upon the improvement of ship design, making them faster and more powerful. Lightly armed with lasers and a tractor beam it can defend itself from fighters and light freighters but nothing more. It was later replaced as the Research and Development class one could not convert larger ships than small fighters and most could not have much more tech installed in them.
